The product website identifies the “Evolved, The Note” vibrator as an elegant musical note-shaped vibe which is equipped with rhythmic delights designed to please inside and out.
When you open the box, the product definitely has a pleasing appearance – it’s a lovely shape, and a nice hot pink colour (which appeals to my very girly side!)
The main shaft is nice and bendy, and the spot deigned to stimulate your clitoris - the tongue - looks super cute and like it would deliver a hella good time. When I first opened the box - I actually sat and played with the little tongue for a while, without turning on “The Note” – and it feels realistic and soft. You can flick it back and forth (hopefully a promise of a good time to come?)
You charge the “Evolved, The Note” via a magnetic Rechargeable USB cable, which is included. It plugs into a standard iPhone plug. “The Note” doesn’t take too long to charge, and then you can start the fun!
“The Note” has 3 separate buttons which control different actions, one controls the main shaft, one the “thumping action”, and one the cute little tongue. The tongue actually has 5 speeds, as does the thumping action in the main shaft.
The main shift also contains 10 different vibrating speeds & functions and is textured. As I mentioned, the main shaft is nice and bendy, and feels soft to the touch.
To start “The Note” – you push one or all of the buttons down the side to get the different actions going. You can have one, or all actions going at once. This is where the problems started for me. I found the buttons on the side slightly hard to push (maybe because I have long nails.)
Also – there is no way you could adjust the actions of “The Note” while it is in use (if you know what I mean!) In order to speed up or slow down any functions, the toy has to be at pretty much eye level, so you can see which button you are pushing. This means that once you get a good rhythm going, you have to interrupt yourself - which spoils the fun and takes away all momentum! I tried pushing buttons while the toy was “in situ” but it’s nearly impossible to reach them, and you are blindly mashing different buttons which control different functions.
The vibration settings along the main shaft of the “Evolved, The Note” offer lots of different options, and I’m sure there would be one to suit just about everybody out there. They range from fast to slow, and all different rhythms. There was definitely some time spent trying all of the different actions out, and I must admit there are more than one that offer great stimulation.
The “thumping” action also offers a varied range of movements, from gentler to more forceful, and the tongue action starts off slow, and ends up being quite quick.
One major problem I had with the “Evolved, The Note” was the gap between the main shaft and the clit stimulator. Once inserted, yes the shaft is an all round fun time, but if you are like me and you really enjoy clit stimulation, then the little tongue area falls well short of where it needs to sit. Unless of course I suffer from an under carriage that is unusually well spaced! I jiggled the toy around for a fair while (across several different attempts – I’m ALL about the research!) and managed to get the main shaft action going whilst the tongue was working my clit – but I had to concentrate super hard which in my mind, defeats the purpose. Also – in order to do this – the shaft isn’t fully inserted which again – defeats the purpose.
I even tried to turn “Evolved, The Note” around, holding the main shift and focussing the tongue area on my clit, but the shape and design of the toy don’t really allow for that – you have to mash the tongue up against yourself, and even then the tongue doesn’t really hit the right spot.
Also - in my opinion, using all 3 actions at once becomes very over whelming – my poor vagina didn’t know what action to focus on, became too distracted and lost interest.
One thing I will say – I have been using this toy solo as I currently don’t have a research assistant. I’m not sure if a partner would be able to get the actions going all at once as they would have a better angle and different perspective.
Overall – I would say “The Note” has some great functions, and definitely can offer a good time – but sadly… I had to go back to my Satisfier Pro (my all time favourite toy!) to finish the job off properly
